Why subscribe?

One of my goals as a writer is to challenge Christians to think deeply about our faith and practices. I serve as Academic Dean and Professor of New Testament at United Theological Seminary in Dayton. In July I will begin a new position as President of Asbury Theological Seminary. My interests, though, are not strictly academic. I care about the on-the-ground work of the church by both clergy and laity, and I want to do what I can to build up the church for future generations.
