My friends at Spirit and Truth have created a new study guide on the Holy Spirit. Here’s the description from their website:
This study guide starts with the basic question, “Who is God and what is he like?” Each of us have had different experiences that shape how we answer that basic yet difficult question. You have likely been shaped by personal encounters with God, interactions with other Christians, church culture, and more. In this study we want to examine some scriptures that teach about the Holy Spirit and introduce you to his character and work. We also want to help lead you into some simple action steps so that you can grow in your personal relationship with the Spirit, not just know facts about him. Subsequent studies will dive into the gifts of the Holy Spirit, learning to hear his voice, and more. For now, we start at the beginning. Who is the Holy Spirit and how does he work in the lives of believers?
The Holy Spirit is the Lord, the giver of life. Jesus has sent him as a teacher and comforter. He sanctifies us and renews the church. He gives us power to witness, even to the ends of the earth. As we seek the Spirit’s work in our communities of faith, God will show up. He will change us. He will change our churches. If we want real renewal, we must lean into the work of the Holy Spirit.
Check out this new resource. You can purchase it here.
Just ordered a copy - thanks! The Global Methodist Church must learn to walk in/abide in our Holy Spirit if we are to be fruitful and faithful as a new movement in the Body of Christ. This looks like another step in the right direction (of our "walk").
